The American Law Reporter
A neat, little quarto-weekly paper which made its appearance in the
Fall of 1872, was The American Law Reporter, with L. G. Johnson as editor.
As the name implies it was devoted to the interests of the legal
profession of Illinois and Iowa. The first edition was printed in
Davenport, then it was moved into the Union Block, Rock Island. The paper
was published for eighteen weeks, when it ceased for want of patronage.
